A Must-Do for Girlfriends.

Girlfriends are a very important part to each of our lives.  Period.  No exceptions.  They truly are.  Are you nodding your head up and down as you're reading this?  Uh-huh, I thought so. 

A girlfriend is there during the good times, the bad times, the funny times, and the oh my goodness times!  How about the times when you receive a text or a dramatic phone call and you need to available STAT!  ...the oh my goodness times...  We've all had these! 

As a girlfriend you are required to be there in a moment's notice and due to the technology of today it's entirely possible; phone, text, Facebook, Skype, etc. 

We also cry, laugh, smile, listen, argue, yell, apologize, and laugh some more.  Yes, as girlfriends we do at times disagree or argue but, that's what friends do.  We kiss and make-up too!

For me, I schedule "frequent" virtual coffee dates or phone dates.  Yes, I really do.  You see some of my best gal pals live out of state and I can't always be in-person but, I'm always a phone call a way (or a text).

What's a "typical" fun evening for you and a girlfriend? 

For me, it typically involves a glass of vino (or bottle) and a deep conversation.

Happy Birthday to Me!

Well, well, well...the "official" day has arrived - 36 years ago today to be exact.  It's my birthday!  And boy is this one my absolute favorite days of the year besides Christmas of course. 
You have to know why don't you...?  Because it's a celebration all about me. 
Everyone get's to celebrate in "honor" of my special day!  So, enjoy it! 

This past Friday I went to dinner at Fifth & Wine with my sister, brother-in-law and a few friends.  I had a blast!  Birthday flowers that matched my dress, courtesy of my sis.  We ate a fabulous antipasto plate, scrumptious dinner, wine and birthday cake (tiramisu).  Everyone sang happy birthday and I blew out my "1" candle -- cute little thing my sister did.  Next year it'll be a "2".  A lot of changes this past year and sis wanted to make this birthday special - plus, in my opinion, it already is because I turn 36!  Wait...I mean 26.  Ha-ha.  No, I'm really 36 today. 

Oh, and I received a yoga bag for my mat and a special towel AND some fabulous perfume too --- LOVE IT!  It's my new favorite: Flowerbomb by Viktor & Rolf. 

Oh my goodness, it's a delishly sexy scent and I love it.  Thank you Celise!

I've only shared pictures of my sister and I - not everyone is fond of being seen on the blog - so, I do honor those requests!  I had a blast with everyone!

I wore this really sassy, short, sexy yellow dress I have and paired it with hot pink feather earrings and hot pink heels!

Fashion Friday & Friday's Fancies: to a T.

Today's the day!  Fashion Friday and Friday's Fancies.  I partaking in the fun over at Blonde Episodes and {long distance loving}...so, come and play along! 

It's "-shirt" themed and thought I would add a bit of color to my neutral world!  I spiced my look up with brushed gold accessories and a sassy pair of sandals and sunglasses.  Don't you agree?  I think I did pretty well - if I don't say so myself.

Tonight I'm hitting the town and celebrating my birthday (a few days early)...my sister has got something fun, fun, fun planned!  ...and it involves a wine bar!!! Yippee!  And don't fret I'll share the details next week.  The "official" big day is Monday!  OH...and I'm wearing a pretty sassy number tonight too!
