Sassy Stylin' Sunday - Navy {I want!}

This outfit is not something I'd wear right now.  You see, it's a little hot for it.  However, it IS a definite must-have for me.  And the bangle and scarf just make the outfit!  And definitely something I'd love to have for my November trip...  It's a secret until I unveil it, next week.  We've changed gears, well, countries for our November trip.  Currently, Bern and I are in the process of firming up dates and dates that best utilize the least amount of frequent flier miles.  Saving miles for more trips is key!!!  Oh yes, it is.

Anyhow, this navy outfit is screaming my name.  I'm not quite sure the heels will be comfy for walking in...ladies, I think we know the answer -- they aren't.  A cute pair of navy shoes would be perfect.  I'm going to have a lot of fun with this upcoming trip because I won't be taking 62 pounds of clothing and shoes.  Nope, I won't.  My goal is to take a carry-on roller bag and a personal bag.  So, we will see.  I'm doing a practice run through next weekend just to see what I can and can't fit.  Funny, I know but, Bern doesn't think I can do it.  I do!  Actually, I know I can however, I'm not sure "Mr. size 14 shoe's" will be able to do it...  So, we will see who wins this bet!

Have a fabulous Sunday!  I'm still in Laguna, California and heading back to the beach in just a few minutes.

Fashion Friday & Friday's Fancies - Summertime Favorites.

After work today I'm headed out of town on a road trip with Bern.  We are headed to southern California (aka SoCal) for a little beach weekend getaway.  Hopefully I can leave the office a bit early too...  Keep your *fingers crossed*.  And we will probably hit In-N-Out Burger on our way out of town.  Yes, real healthly I know but, super yummy!  Oh, and rockin' tunes since I'll be the DJ.  The air guitar will appear.

Today's the day!  Fashion Friday with Kori over at Blonde Episodes and Friday's Fancies with Alison over at {Long Distance Loving}.  I thought I would share some summertime favorites today.  Looking chic and staying cool are key for me when dressing during summer.  This summer I've added sundresses, shorts and tanks to my wardrobe.  And of course some fun jewelry as well.  However, I need to open my mind to a wider selection of sandals.  Flat sandals aren't my thing but, I need to be open to them.  Flip flops with crystals are my main choice and I many colors to choose from (thank Bern) and I love wedges however, comfort with wedges isn't key.  And they definitely aren't comfy for tons of walking...well, at least I haven't found a pair yet.  And summer wouldn't be complete without a bikini - well, for me anyway.  and yes I have several suits and a few string bikini's too!

Anyhow, take a look at my summertime faves and let me know what's your favorite.  And don't forget to hop over to Blonde Episodes for more Fashion Friday posts and especially hop over to {long distance loving} for Friday's Fancies and "like" your favorite outfit (I hope it's mine).  Have a fabulous Friday and wonderful weekend!  And enjoy summer while it's still here.  Until next time.

Wanderlust Wednesday - Venice?

I'm seriously feeling Venice.  Really, I am.  I thought I'd share a few picks that I found on pinterest.com (by the way I love this site).  Take a look at a few of these picks and tell me if your interested in going to?  I haven't been but, I'm dying to go especially, since The Tourist is currently one of my favorite movies.

Rome was such a magical place for us last November...  I'm hoping Venice will be this November.  Enjoy Venice!  By the way, keep checking back for more posts on Venice.

My gondola awaits...
I'm lusting after Venice...

Wanderlust Wednesday.

This Friday after work I'll be hitting the road.  Bern and I will be that is.  We are headed to SoCal for a little fun in the sun.  We'll be staying in Laguna steps away from the beach.  I'm so looking forward to it.  I hope the water is as warm as it was in Florida *fingers crossed*.

Road trips for me are fun.  How about you?  My longest road trip was to/from Buffalo Grove, Illinois to North Pole, Alaska and vice versa.  And I must say it was an absolute blast, for different reasons.  My road trip from Lake Zurich, Illinois to Mesa, Arizona with my little sis was fun but, we had our moments.  I think I need to do a blog post or two about my road trips.  Chicago, Illinois to New Orleans, Louisiana -- rocked!  Let me just say it was day-drinking at its absolute best.  My last road trip with Bern, from Phoenix, Arizona to San Diego, California.  It was so much fun!  And let me tell you being the designated road trip DJ was my job and we had rockin' tunes.  Seriously, we did!  Air guitar and all!  Funny, I know.  It was a fabulous trip and I'm very much looking forward to Friday.

Anyhow, I'd love to know about your favorite road trip or what your ideal road trip would be?

Have a wonderful day!  See you soon.

Sassy Stylin' Sunday.

This is an oh, so, sassy outfit.  I can't decide whether the hat or the shoes make the outfit!  And the bangles are fabulous, love them!  A very sassy, sexy outfit.

Have a wonderful Sunday.  I'm heading back to the beach bright and early this morning.  And I'm loving how warm the water is.  We went yesterday and it was so much fun!

Friday's Fancies - LWD {Little White Dress}

Today's post hasn't turned out as planned.  Yesterday, on the first leg of my flight to Florida I worked on today's post and completed it...and low and behold Blogger had issues and didn't save my post.  Needless to say I'm not thrilled.

Anyhow, today's theme is LWD:  little white dress.  I typically don't do white.  I just don't.  White for me is a magnet to get dirty.  However, if I'm going to where white this is an outstanding look that I'd love to replicate.

Don't forget to stop by {long distance loving} and vote for your favorite.  Have a wondeful day!  I'm headed to Cocoa Beach and Ron Jon Surf Shop.

...this & that... Thursday.

Well, yesterday was my Friday this week.  Hence, no post yesterday - I was busy packing last night and organizing my apartment.  Yes, I've been on a quest to organize and streamline my place because, well let me be absolutely frank with you -- the chaos in my apartment has been driving me crazy.  And no I didn't take any before or after pictures but, I should have.  You probably wouldn't think it was or is that bad but, I do.  My mom even noticed the new found "order" however, she liked it before.  Now, it's super clean and organized.  Hmmm, a future blog post:  my apartment.

Anyhow, on with the tidbits...

I'm headed to Florida to spend a long weekend with my childhood friend, Jason and his wife Brenda and their adorable new baby daughter, Elizabeth.  Actually, Ms. Elizabeth is 6 months old now but, it will in-fact be my first time seeing her -- so, it's still new to me and I'm sure her parents.  But, I'm super excited!!!  Very.  It will be really cool to see Jason as a parent in-action if you will.  You see Jason and I used to play G.I. Joe, Star Wars, play "war" with replica machine guns, etc.  Oh, and need I forget to daredevil tricks with his BMX bike and I have quite a nice scar on my chin as "proof" of our fun, little, tricks.  Oh, yes I really do!

My mom dropped me off at the airport and I made it through security in 10 minutes.  Needless to say 20 minutes after my arrival at the airport I'm seated, drinking my iced venti green tea and blogging away...  I don't board for another 45 minutes so, I'm still good.  And today I'm going to pay for in-flight Internet service and blog some more.

I'm brought some fun reads.  Currently reading 4 Blondes by Candace Bushnell.  And to think I've had this book for years, literally years, and haven't read it until now.  The next book to read is Book 1 of the Emerald Legacy:  Irish Hearts by Nora Roberts.  And I did bring a third but, not quite sure if I'll get to that.  Oh, and a few magazines, too.  You can never have enough reading material.

...this & that...

Check out ...this DIY website www.ispy-diy.com (found in InStyle magazine, Jenni Radosevich, part-time staff and blogger).  Be sure to find the "spruce up your summer sandals" that I found in the InStyle magazine -- who would've thought this "easy-peasy" DIY to spruce up your summer sandals.  Wow!

MAC Satin Taupe is one of my favorite eye shadows of all time and a must for every gal.  A golden taupe with a hint of purple...simply stunning and gorgeous all-in-one.  Can be worn wet or dry.

I think each of us needs this teasing comb and to think it's only $13 - recessiontools.com

Tuxedo jacket.  Yes, each of us needs this fab little addition to our wardrobe.  I have a black one with cropped sleeves and love, love, love it!  However, it is several years old, been worn a bazillion times, and dry cleaned just as many...I'm in need of a new one.  I currently own black.  But, I think in addition to replacing it that I also need a white one, cream one, and white with black color...  Hmmm, sounds pretty enticing doesn't it?  There fabulous.  A must for every gal.  And ladies, this should be a staple in your wardrobe.  It can be work with jeans or dress pants -- just think the possibilities are endless.  And different fabrics change the look as well.  Oh, Fashion Fairy, where o' where are you....?  I hope your reading this...be on the lookout for me.

I am lusting after a set of Ricky Care Fusion Self Grip Rollers (self-grip really?)  Check out www.rickysync.com

Have an absolutely, fabulous day!  And I'll be seeing you soon.

Tuesday Tidbits.

Yes, yes I'm actually posting today.  I've been a little "off" on my regular ...this & that... posts however, I'm trying to get back on track.  You see, I work full-time, workout and have Blondie'sShop...and to think no kids or hubby is added to the mix.  It's just me - well, sort of.  I've got Bern, my guy, for 6-years now.  Yes, 6 years...WOW!  I can't believe that much time has past - well it has.  And so much has happened but, that's another post.

This week I have a short work week because I'm heading to Florida.  Yep.  I'd headed to Melbourne, Florida and can't wait to spend time with my childhood friend, Jason and his wife, Brenda, and their new baby Ms. Elizabeth (not a newborn but, 6 months old).  It will be fun!  At at least once I'll be hitting the beach!  I cannot wait.  Last time I went to the beach in Florida was last time I was there at Jason and Brenda's wedding.  Come to think of it, I was also terribly sick with a massive, yucky sinus infection.  However, I toughed it out and had a fun weekend and a wonderful walk on the beach with Bernie.  On a side note, that is one of my favorite things to do at the beach is to walk it.  Yes, walk it.  I really like to squish my feet between the sand and walk in the surf and look for shells and just enjoy it.  What about you?

Anyhow, I'm excited.  Can't you tell?  By the way, I want to mention that I've known Jason for 30 years.  Yep, you read that correctly.  I think it's pretty cool that we've maintained the friendship and now it's a bonus that I get share it with his family, Brenda and Elizabeth, too.

Oh, and your probably wondering if Bern is going with me and the answer is no.  He's going to Boston to hang with the Boston Rox (it's a minor league baseball time if you didn't know) and one of his best buds, Bill.  And Bern's excited too!

And we are both thrilled to get out of the Arizona heat!!!

Anyhow, I'm working on a bunch of posts on all types of random things.  Hence, the blog title "...this & that...", too funny I know.  I'm also going to do a giveaway on my blog!  Yes, it will be the first one and it will be an item or item(s) from my shop!!!  Not sure if I will pick an item or give a dollar value...what would you like?  Also, I'm looking to branch out advertising for my shop.  Any inexpensive ideas would be greatly appreciated.  And if your interested in hosting a giveaway on your blog please let me know (comment on this post or send me an email at hpranitis@yahoo.com).

I need to explain something and apologize.  Well, sort of.  You see, I've been a little MIA lately.  On twitter definitely but, also here on my blog.  Sometimes, I just don't know what to write about it or rather I can't decide.  I have plenty to write about.  Yes, I really do -- who doesn't?  This is my blog and all about me.  Don't get me wrong I follow all different kinds of blogs and each are very different and unique - at least the blogs I follow are.  My question to you my readers is this:  what do you want me to write more about?  Me? Travel?  DIY's (cards, knitting)? Fashion? My faves? Books, what I read? etc...  The sky is the limit.  But, I won't talk politics, news, or the economy - I won't do it, period.  I just want to know if there is anything I'm missing or something you'd like to know more about...

Alright, it's time to finish the day.  I hope that everyone has an absolutely fabulous day!  And I'll see you soon.
