Fashion Friday - Weddings.

I thought it very fitting to theme today's Fashion Friday: Weddings.  You see I'm back home in Chicago for a wonderful friend's wedding.  A bud that I go waaaay back with...high school that is.  Anyhow, more on that tomorrow (Saturday, wedding day).

Today's all about weddings and most importantly the details.  These details can range from big to small and be different for each of us.  So, take a look at the details I've chosen and let me know what stands out to you...  All images via pinterest.

Don't forget to head over to Blonde Episodes and see what Kori and everyone else has posted, too!

Have a wonderful Friday and stay cool.  It's going to be a hot one today in Chicago (heat advisory and all).  I've changed my plans and I'll be staying indoors and heading to the movies with Bill, my former movie-buddy to see Transformers 3.

The proposal.  The rings.

The bridesmaids dresses.  The color scheme.  The guests outfits.  Where, oh where, do I even begin -- the wardrobe!

Bern and I at my cousin's wedding a few weeks ago.  I'll be wearing the same outfit this Saturday.

One of my favorite photo's and (moments) from my sister's wedding I should say is on my blog.  It's a picture of me leaning in to kiss her cheek.  Look on the right side - you'll see it.  It was all round a really fun day and I'm glad I got to be a part of it.  Weddings are very special in many different ways.  For me a wedding that's themed, color flows, and see you that "spark" and "connection" between the bride and groom -- that's what I love!!!  Plus, I think I'm just a romantic at heart.  What girl doesn't want to know she's the one and he chose her.  I'm very excited to be a part of Dana and John's special day.
And of course on Sunday or Monday I'll share my favorite moments!

Have a wonderful day!  And a fabulous 4th of July weekend.

Friday's Fancies - Short(s) and Sassy.

Today, I'm going for the short and sassy look.  Mainly, I just want to stay cool.  I'm not really wearing "this" outfit today but, I love Jennifer's style (and mine is close).  I'm in Chicago for the weekend and hanging with old friends and of course I'll meet up with some family as well.  Anyhow, I'll be wearing a pair of khaki shorts, tank, wedges, and aviators...so, this look is very, very close.  And don't forget the accessories.  Have a fabulous Friday and stay cool!  And don't forget to head over to {av}'s blog {long distance loving} to check out more Friday's Fancies and "like" my outfit (if you like it)!

Tuesday Tidbits.

Well, well, well.  Yes, I'm actually posting today.  Sorry, I know it's been awhile since I've posted a Tuesday Tidbits post.  Well, anyhow, here I am - so let's go...

This past weekend was fun, fun, fun!  I attended Mel's birthday party pool luau and boy was it HOT out!  Almost all of us spent the entire time in the pool.  Literally, it was hot.  Well, over 105 degrees if I'm not mistaken.  However, each of us did take turns inside.  And even though we celebrated her big day this past Saturday her official birthday is today...so , Happy 29th Birthday Mel.

The birthday girl is over to the far left.  And she's the only one looking my way.  Happy Birthday Melly!

Here is Mel's dog Dakota who was chillin' in the shade.  Did you notice is festive lei's around his neck...?
My little sis thought it was appropriate to include him in the party and their other dog too.
Too funny I know but, that's Mel's deal.
She is a party planner.  :)
On Sunday, I met Mel and her hubby and several of their friends for brunch and it was a lot of fun.  There were eight of us at brunch and six of us headed to the movies afterwards.  Movie #1 was Bad Teacher and it was so-so.  Movie #2 was Green Lantern (yes, I saw it for the second time).  It was 111 degrees outside so, there wasn't a lot to do and we all had fun.  The movies were 15 minutes apart so how could we not see both?  So, movie #1 ended and the guys headed to buy tickets for movie #2 while the girls got refreshments and the guys had sandwiches.  Oh, and need I forget the monster order of nachos - we all nibbled on that.  Anyhow, the weekend rounded out to a very fun weekend.

I'm looking forward to this weekend as well.  You see for the 4th of July I'm headed back home...to Chicago!!!  I'm attending the wedding of a high school friend and seeing 2 other friends (whom got married to one another a few years ago) and family!  Not sure what other friends I'll see but, I'm looking forward to it.  I plan on spending the day downtown on Friday and definitely hitting the Taste of Chicago, yum!  And I haven't been to the Aquarium in awhile so I'm going there as well.  On Saturday, is the wedding but, I'm hoping to see my grandparents and a stop by the cemetery with flowers.  And then head to Dana and John's wedding.  On Sunday, I'm spending the entire day with my fabulous friends that married each other, Bill and Brenna, and their very growing daughter Lily.  Lily makes me feel old!  Really, she does...she's so big...last time I saw here she was still a baby.  I'd also love to see Dani, Brent, and Jaxson if I can make it to the Indiana Shore...  Maybe, hook up with Brad downtown for cocktails again before I head back on the train on Friday...hmmm, I have a lot of Facebook messages to send and emails and phone calls to make.  I need to get busy.  It will be a blast of a weekend.  Oh, and need I forget fireworks!  I don't head back to Phoenix until Monday evening so, I'll have a wild, fun-filled, packed 4-days.  If your back home and reading this hit-me-up via email or text and we will coordinate.

I'm excited can't you tell?  Alright, on to some more tidbits...

The newest issue of High Gloss is out.

Please sign up for your daily dose of glitter here.  The glitterGUIDE is fabulous and so is their tumbler

Check out this cool article at Newsweek.com about Diana at 50.  Yes, this is as in Princess Diana.  I'm a little obsessed with the Royal family.  I just love them.  I really like the premise behind the article and how it was written - let me know what you think...

And thank you to Rachel over at Love a la Mode for informing me that H&M will be having an affordable line by Versace...  UMMM, can you say awesome!  And this will be an affordable line.  Check out the press release here.

I'm also thinking I might need to buy a little Urban Decay eye shadow from the Naked collection for my trip...hmmm, decisions, decisions.  Yes, I do realize that I do have clearly way to much eye shadow already (thank you MAC) but, a girl can never have enough, right?  Right.  Hmmm, so what do you think?  Does anyone have this already?  If yes, do you love it or hate it?  I want to hear from you.  The 12 shadows look absolutely divine.  Oh, yes, they truly do...

Alright, I need to hit the hay.  I have a busy day tomorrow.  A very busy day.  I need to get up early and pack some.  I need to go early to the dry cleaners so that I get my clothes back (same day).  Then I need to come home do laundry and finish packing.  Finish four blog posts.  Yes, four.  I don't think I'm going to take my lab top...I'm undecided because I don't want to check anything.  So, I'm still contemplating if I'm taking it.

Oh, and I'm reading Nora Roberts Bride Quartet series over again for the 3rd or 4th time.  I skipped book one and went right to book 2.  And now I'm on 3.  I hoping to finish it to bring book 4 with me this weekend.  And I already know your thinking where in the world is she going to have time to read it...don't worry I will have time.

potential clients approval, what do you think?

PS - A special thanks to my Mom for dinner tonight and a trip to Michael's to help with the leopard paper (and we ended up with ribbon instead).  And Mom wants to get into scrapbooking -- pretty exciting stuff!  She has ton's of pictures.  I sent her home with 2 of my scrapbooking "how-to" books for ideas, etc.  And my homework assignment to her was this:  look through the books and then pick out a bunch of your favorite photos with a theme in mind and we will get to work.  I told her I'd help her with her first book.  Fun times.

Have a fabulous evening!  And wonderful Wednesday.

Sassy Stylin' Sunday.

Today I'm going for simple and chic via pinterest.  It is a fabulous outfit and I'm not sure who created it but, I absolutely love it, don't you?  And the top is just screaming my name.  I might hit the movies and see Bad Teacher starring Cameron Diaz and Justin Timberlake.  I'm undecided at this point - I'll need to see how I feel after spending a day in the sun at Mel's birthday pool party.  It's suppose to be hot one this weekend here in the Valley of the Sun - I'm talking 105+ degrees.  Hot, huh?  I think so.
Anyhow, have a great one and hope it's cooler than here!

Fashion Friday- It's pool party time!

Well, well, well it's that time again!  My favorite day of the week.  I've really come to enjoy my Friday posts.  I love linking up for Fashion Friday over at Blonde Episodes and Friday's Fancies over at {long distance loving}.  Click here for my Friday's Fancy post.

Today's theme is pool party time!  And you all know what that means:  bathing suits.  I have a very special pool party to attend tomorrow.  You see it's my little Mel's birthday party.  We observing Saturday as her birthday even thought it's really Tuesday - it makes it easier to celebrate.  So, Mel and her hubby are having a pool party/bbq bash at their house.  I'm really excited and it will be a lot of fun.

I think it is safe to say that shopping for a bathing suit can be quite challenging at times.  It is very gratifying when you finally find that right suit, the right fit, the right color and it looks oh so fabulous on...doesn't it?  I know you know exactly what I'm talking about, dont' you?  I knew you did.

I thought it would be fun to share a bunch of suits of all different styles and colors.  Let me know which one is your favorite.

One of my absolute favorite things to do while in the water is float exactly like this.

I am really digging that one pieces and retro style bathing suits are making a comeback.  I like the concealing factor a bit more than the real (but, then again that may have something to do with turning 35 this year...?  Maybe...)

I am absolutely loving this peach suit right now.  Loving it!  This is a definite add to my Fashion Fairy list.
It's very feminine yet, sexy all-in-one, don't you agree?

Believe it or not this is a cover-up.  I was really surprised however, I love it.  Another add to my list for the Fashion Fairy.

I have a hooded cover-up very similar to this and I'll be honest and say that I still have yet to wear it.
Hopefully, one day soon...  I hope.

This is on outfit that I posted in my Wanderlust Wednesday post this week and I absolutely adore it.  And I want it!  I want each and every item.  I think it's a great way of showing what you cover-up your suit with -- all while hanging out and running errands in Positano, Italy prior to hitting the beach.

This is the Positano Gucci bag and I WANT IT!  I think this is a fabulous addition to any beach outfit.  And "yes" it's definitely big enough to fit the essentials for the beach.  Oh yes!  Fashion Fairy, Fashion Fairy...come out, come out, wherever you are...I pretty please with sugar on top want this bag...oh yes I do.

Ok, let me be frank:  I want to pull off this look.  Period.
And probably by the end of the summer I'll be able to.
I'm still working on slimming down my hips.
{a future post about this}

I thought this was a fun picture to include.  Girlfriends at the beach are a definite must and so much fun.  However, I'd say these lovely ladies need a few beach towels and a cooler full of frosty beverages.  And some snacks too...
I'll take one of these please.

This is a very pretty suit.

Great suit:  sassy and chic.  Pale pink with a pop of turquoise, mauve, and orange.

I have never worn anything quite like this but, I'd love to try it.  Wouldn't you?

This is a fabulous suit by Victoria's Secret and I have one that is similar (with more magenta).
However, my suit doesn't look quite like this on...

I love this ruffled should strap.

I hope you like my picks.  What's your suit style and your favorite color?
Don't forget to stop over to Blonde Episodes and see the other Fashion Friday posts.
Have a wonderful weekend, I hope you have fun plans.
Have a wondeful weekend!
